Practice Mode getting started
HelpMyBooks helps Australian bookkeeping and accounting professionals manage client clarification, supporting information and review before reconciliation.
First session
For bookkeepers, accountants and BAS-focused practices, HelpMyBooks supports client-scoped setup, deliberate client communication and professional review control.

Connect Xero per client from the individual client profile, then sync that client's accounting history. HelpMyBooks uses this client-scoped history for merchant, coding, GST and duplicate context; it does not turn historical Xero rows into a client-chasing queue.
Upload the client's CSV, OFX, QFX or QIF statement through the one bank-statement workflow. Xero's public Accounting API does not expose the raw unreconciled bank-feed statement lines, so the statement supplies the active work while Xero supplies historical context. Preview detected, duplicate, new and invalid rows before committing.
A statement upload prepares work but does not contact the client by default. Enable per client. Only after a real client question has been sent, HelpMyBooks batches qualifying requests into one digest through the client's enabled email or SMS channel.
When the client responds, the answer, supporting evidence and AI suggestion stay with the transaction. The bookkeeper reviews and corrects the result where needed. AI assists; the professional remains in control.
